Using digital technology to support the economic, social and environmental transformation of local governments and localities both rural and urban, and improve the quality of life of citizens.
This Challenge is also a Call for applications to the Digital InPulse contest held by Huawei France. French start-ups applying to this Challenge may be selected to participate in the Digital InPulse contest. Digital InPulse is a program which promotes the excellence of French start-ups by offering them a Learning expedition to Southern China (Hong Kong & Shenzhen) and aims to support their international development. Context / Need:
As regions and localities face new challenges linked to their economic, social and environmental transformation, digital technology is an indispensable tool that must offer adapted solutions to these challenges on the local level. Digital technology must enable personalized, intelligent solutions for local actors to transform their activities, decrease their energy consumption, and improve the quality of life of all.

Offering a better user experience on Electric Vehicles (EV) by improving Charging, Energy management, Predictive maintenance, and Driveability
Context:
Facing the big challenge of CO2 emissions reduction, the automotive industry is proposing a wider range of electrified vehicles to the market. However, a lot of end users are still reluctant to fully embrace those new options.
Automotive Electrification offers a new “EV ecosystem” including opportunities for better customer experiences by allowing connections to the grid, to the cloud, to other vehicles, and to other transportation stakeholders (such as drivers, passengers, pedestrians, etc.) Those connections can be on a Communications level (e.g. data transfer, software update), or on an Energy level (e.g. energy transfer).

We are challenging start-ups to develop innovative solution that enhance productivity and promote innovation in the workplace by using AI and Big Data technology from Huawei Cloud. The goal could be to automate routine tasks, to augment human intelligence, or to enable new forms of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
To create a solid, open, and robust Cloud ecosystem, this Challenge encourages start-ups to adopt the newest technologies into creative projects and applications. Huawei opens its technologies, capabilities, and tools via APIs for developers to easily build, run, and deploy applications on the cloud.
